Reader was bunny hop champ

A RECENT feature on Rolyat School brought back memories for one of our readers.

Former pupil Gerald Massey recalled the annual sports day at the school in the mid to late 1930s.

His results list shows he was the winner in the “bunny jump�?.

Mr Massey said: “I was at the school from 1935 to 1940. I wonder how many others are still around Crosby now.

“It brought back happy memories to see the old school.�?

He also has this picture of pupils in 1936-37.
